How do you clean the foam?

Once you have removed the filter from the fan, you can submerge it in a bucket of soapy water with dish soap in it and swish it around. Rinse with fresh water under a faucet. Or, you can lay it upside down on a flat surface and squirt it with a hose with moderate pressure. Shake it out and let dry before re-installing.
